CURRENT POLL...

Japan has been hunting and eating whales for centuries. And continues to do so today. Despite the political guise of whaling for scientific purposes, much of the blood red whale meat ends up in Japan’s fish markets and supermarkets for public consumption. Is Japan justified in whale hunting and being unfairly attacked by crackpot greenies, or are they really as cruel and inhumane as the Western news reports make out?

WHAT'S YOUR TAKE?
Is Japan justified in whale hunting?
Don't care either way. It's just a big fish at the end of the day.
No. Whales should be protected and the Japanese are are in violation of international law.
Yes. The hunts are research and it is part of their culture and history. There are plenty more fish in the sea.
