The Okinawa Adventure Company offers an range of outdoor adventure sports in beautiful sunny Okinawa. From hot air ballooning to sea kayaking their packages offer an exciting combination of activities to JETs looking for a real kick in the sun.
The OAC specialises in eco-friendly outdoor adventure activities offering you, or your group, maximum fun in the Okinawa sun. Their range of adventure sports will meet the expectations of both beginners and hardcore adrenaline junkies alike.
All Terrain Vehicles - Experience the ultimate in off-road 4 wheel bike adventure. Easy to ride 2002 YFM Raptors meet the demands of both beginners and those looking to push the envelope. The attractive ocean side surroundings provide the ideal natural environment to test these machines. Take the 90 minute short course which includes instruction on the operation of the bike or the full day course for serious action through crater like terrain, hill climbs and a few jumps (for all those adrenaline junkies).
Caving - Go underground to explore the beauty of Okinawa. The 40 minute journey through numerous caverns, an underground stream and nature at work never fails to please.
Snorkelling - Snorkel around in the beautiful water gazing at the coral reef and its schools of fish. Your snorkel guide will explain many of the interesting facts that abound about the coral reef and it's inhabitants.
Sea Kayak - Kayak the coral reefs around Zanpa and Maeda. The crystal clear waters of Okinawa let you see the coral and schools of fish from your sea kayak. You will be accompanied by a guide in your sit in kayaks as you cruise under your own power.
Hot Air Ballooning- The OAC offers Okinawa's only tethered Hot Air Balloon Ride. As you rise in the A-105 Cameron U.S. hot air balloon you will be able to view the countryside around Yomitan and the panoramic sea and landscapes from Cape Zanpa in the north, the islands in the west to Naha in the south. Flight sessions are twice daily (weather permitting). After your flight enjoy a drink and a bite to eat on the deck of the sunset cafe.
Airtime Bungy - From the world of extreme sports comes this next hybrid of the trampoline. Multiple bungy cords attached to a harness (in which the jumper is secured) super boosts the traditional trampoline experience giving a gravity defying ride.
Introductory Dive- Beginners can experience beauty of the underwater world under the supervision of a PADI instructor when they take the Introductory Scuba Dive course. Instruction and all necessary equipment is provided and soon you will be able to view breathtaking coral and schools of darting fish.
PADI Diving Courses - While in Okinawa take the opportunity to get the PADI Open Water Divers license. The open water divers course teaches you a range of skills needed for scuba diving and enables you to dive to a depth of 18m/60ft. 3 - 4 days are needed. The PADI license card is used and accepted all over the world. PADI Advanced and Rescue Diver courses also available.
Fun Diving - Okinawa and the outer islands offer a wide variety of dive sites, wall dives, swim throughs, coral gardens and rich marine life. You can choose from boat, beach or night dives. All dives come with an experienced guide, weight belt and tanks included. Full gear rental available. A License Card (C-card) is required and must be shown for fun diving.
First time divers are welcome and will be given an in depth briefing on the effect to the body of diving, how to dive and essential safety skills. They will be closely monitored and supervised by OAC Japan's experienced dive masters.

Arriving on a Friday night you will be picked up from the airport and taken to your hotel close to OAC Japan*. Over the next two days you will enjoy a selection of adventure sports chosen for people looking to get their aquatic kicks, the highlight of which is kayaking the crystal clear waters of the coral reefs around Zanpa. You will also be able to enjoy free time to shop at the American Outdoor Mall.

Hotel or Minshuku accommodation can be arranged by OAC Japan and is charged seperately at ¥4,200 per person per night. You may choose between single occupancy, twin share or dorm room accommodation (minimum stay 2 nights).
Every JET who buys an adventure pack will get a free Snap Sights 5m/15ft reusable underwater camera, valued at ¥1,500.
* Please note: If due to weather & waves or other circumstances boat diving can't be conducted, then boat diving will be replaced with beach diving and the price adjusted accordingly. These packages are also available during the week. Customers must book and pay for their own air tickets.

A waiver release form will need to be signed before commencing, and if you are under 18 years of age, parental consent is required (Hot air balloon is an exception).
Tour times for diving and snorkelling vary day to day due to tidal conditions.
Guides may cancel tours if it appears to be too dangerous to continue.
Cancellation fees apply (25% seven to 2 days prior, 50% day prior, 100% same day) Reservations can be made by online, phone or fax.
