These are prices for the SELF PACK Door to Port without JET discount exclusive of insurance, and any necessary charges for making custom made cartons. These prices do not include cargo release fees at destination port (see below). There is no 5% consumption tax charge for the Economove Japan service.
The Economy Pack service provides you with two large boxes totaling 1 cubic meter in size. For most JETs 1 cubic meter is more than enough. You wont believe just how much you can pakc in them until you see them. The boxes are supplied in advance, all you need do is pack, fill out the inventory list and some standard documentation which is sent to Economove Japan at least a few days before pick up. Should you have specific box requirements, contact Economove Japan and they will arrange for custom boxes to be made for you. The whole process is designed to take the worry out of your move home.
Then simply call to arrange a convenient time to collect your packed articles. Then make payment at least three days prior to your departure from Japan. After payment is confirmed the shipping schedule will be sent to you with details of your shipment. You can then collect your boxes at the destination port/terminal. You can ship up to 2 cubic meters using the JetMove service. The more you ship the more you save. To calculate the rate for shipments larger than 1 cubic meter, simply calculate 1.5 times the above rate for 1.5 cubic meters and 1.80 times the rate for 2 cubic meters. |

- JETs must state Jetset Japan to qualify for JetMove discount. Valid until September 31st to all Jetset Japan JETs, your boxes must leave Japan by this date. The final ocean vessel departure date must be by this date.
